The Brilliance is the acclaimed musical duo of David Gungor and John Arndt, known for creating genre-defying music that blends orchestral arrangements, ambient textures, folk influences, and contemplative lyricism. Since forming in 2010, the duo has built a devoted international audience through songs that explore themes of empathy, justice, reconciliation, faith, and the shared human experience.
Drawing from liturgical traditions while reaching far beyond conventional worship music, The Brilliance crafts immersive musical landscapes that invite reflection and connection. Their catalog includes acclaimed releases such as Brother, All Is Not Lost, Suite No. 1: Oh Dreamer, Suite No. 2: World Keeps Spinning, and Feel It. Their “Suite” projects have addressed contemporary social issues including immigration, anxiety, and human dignity, earning editorial support from major streaming platforms and resonating with audiences across cultural and religious backgrounds.
The Brilliance has performed throughout North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, appearing at festivals, churches, concert halls, and special events including performances at the Vatican. Their work continues to challenge listeners toward deeper compassion, curiosity, and hope, embodying their longstanding mission: to create art that inspires empathy.
