Application Process and Requirements for International Students

Applying to study at Excelsia College is easy. You can apply directly to the College yourself or go through a registered agent.

How to Apply

To study at Excelsia, you must meet the College’s admission standards. Find out the requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate entry below.

Undergraduate

To study an undergraduate course at Excelsia, you must satisfy academic entry requirements and English language proficiency requirements. You must also meet specific course prerequisites. Check the individual entry requirements for your course on the Study section of the website.

Contact a Course Advisor for country-specific entry requirements or to get assistance with your application.

Postgraduate

If you are interested in a postgraduate course, you must meet the educational or life experience requirement  and show English language proficiency. You may also be required to meet specific course prerequisites. Check the specific requirements on Study page.

Additional requirement

Some courses may have additional entry criteria such as an interview or an audition. Please check the specific information Study page to find out whether there are additional requirements.

Excelsia College requires all international students from non-English speaking countries to provide approved evidence of English language proficiency to meet the requirements for admission. The minimum requirements of language are listed on the individual course pages. The test must have been undertaken within two years of application.

Once applicants have been sent an offer, applicants have two weeks to accept their offer. This is done online and a confirmation will be emailed back to the applicant. At this point, applicants are welcome to apply for Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). If you are eligible for Credit or Recognition of Prior Learning, you may be exempt from completing some units and you may be able to finish your degree in a shorter amount of time.

Please refer to the Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy.

Before you start your degree, consider how much your course will cost. At Excelsia, tuition fees are charged by the undergraduate or postgraduate course units taken per study period.

Visit the financial information page to find all about fee information.

Up-front payment

Once Students have received the Letter of Offer from Excelsia College, they will be provided with a Statement of Fees and can choose to pay up-front. This must happen before the end of the first week of semester (for domestic students) via credit card, cheque or direct deposit. International students need to pay on receipt of the Letter of Offer to ensure they receive their eCOE in good time.

Other Expenses

Besides your course fees, you will need to budget for the cost of living and studying in Australia including for other associated study costs such as textbooks, equipment and other learning materials.

Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework

Excelsia College and the Australian Government want overseas students in Australia to have a safe, enjoyable and rewarding place to study. Australia’s laws promote quality education and consumer protection for overseas students. These laws are known as the ESOS framework and they include the Education Services for Overseas (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code 2018.
