Excelsia University College welcomed academics, industry leaders, and students to the annual Lumen Conference, a day dedicated to exploring the 2025 theme ‘Faith and Sustainability for a World in Polycrisis’.
The event brought together a diverse community of voices eager to share insights, research, and practical strategies for building resilience in uncertain times.
Across keynote sessions, workshops, and panel discussions, delegates were challenged to consider how faith-based perspectives can contribute to global conversations on sustainability, technology, and ethics. The conference also provided valuable networking opportunities, with attendees exchanging ideas and experiences that stretched beyond academic theory and into real-world application.
‘The Lumen Conference 2025 showed us that people aren’t shying away from the complexity of the world we’re in. There’s an honesty in these conversations – and also a sense of hope that together, we can create solutions,’ said Excelsia’s Director of Research Professor Ian Eddie.
On behalf of Excelsia University College and Indiana Wesleyan University, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Lumen Conference. Over two days, we witnessed rich conversations, thought-provoking research, and inspiring stories of faith and sustainability in action.
