Excelsia College welcomes CCCU students to campus

This month, Excelsia College, Australia’s leading Christian higher education provider, welcomed its first intake of BestSemester students.

Eight students are participating in the program this semester, coming from seven different universities: Azusa Pacific University (California), Biola University (California), Calvin University (Michigan), Messiah (Pennsylvania), Northwestern College (Iowa), Wheaton (Illinois) and Whitworth University (Washington). Students will be taking a full load of courses, spending seven weeks in Australia, four weeks in Indonesia, and four weeks in Taiwan.

The BestSemester program has a lot to offer its students, including: adventure, course credit, cross-cultural skills, plus the opportunity to travel and meet new people. The program doesn’t just give students an opportunity to learn what they can do, but sometimes they also learn a little more about themselves. Students have been challenged to think of their study abroad experience as a pilgrimage, constantly looking to see what God is doing in His world and asking the question, what is God trying to teach me here.

One of the primary aims of launching the BestSemester program was to create new opportunities for students and transform the way they experience the world. The program also prepares students for success in today’s global society with their faith at the forefront and brings people together to build a Christian community.

With campuses across the globe, including more than 150 in the U.S. and Canada and more than 30 from an additional 18 countries, CCCU institutions are accredited, comprehensive colleges and universities whose missions are Christ-centered and rooted in the historic Christian faith. The CCCU’s mission is to advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education and to help institutions transform lives.

We wish all visiting students the best of luck during their time in Sydney. We have enjoyed hosting the students on our campus and look forward to continuing to support and build successful relationships.
