Excelsia College is thrilled to sponsor ‘MADE FOR THIS’, a musician and artist development experience designed for 14- to 25-year-olds with an interest in pursuing music. This event, launching at the Country Music Association of Australia’s (CMAA) CONNECT24 conference, is set to provide invaluable opportunities for aspiring musicians and artists to engage with industry leaders and influencers. ‘MADE FOR THIS’ is a free event that provides a platform for young artists to gain insights, receive mentorship, and explore their potential in a supportive and inspiring environment.
This year’s event will feature an impressive lineup of experts, including Tarryn Stokes, the 2023 winner of The Voice whose compelling vocal performances have captured the nation’s attention. International recording artist SVRCINA will bring her innovative music to the forefront, while entrepreneur and social media influencer Bridey Drake will share her expertise on branding and digital presence. Music artist and youth mentor Chico Johnson will offer invaluable guidance to help young talents navigate their musical paths. The event will be held on Wednesday 25 September at QT hotel in the Gold Coast, and with limited tickets available, early registration is essential.
The CMAA’s vision extends to enhancing the development of musicians and storytelling within Australia. Recent initiatives have included national tours for renowned artists such as For King & Country, We Are Messengers, and Jeremy Camp. The CMAA has also organised support acts for these tours, featuring talents like Bella Taylor Smith, Nathan Tasker, and Tarryn Stokes. ‘MADE FOR THIS’ continues this tradition by focusing on mentoring and developing young Australian musical talent.
Excelsia College is proud to support initiatives that empower and inspire the next generation of musicians. We invite all aspiring artists and musicians to take advantage of this remarkable opportunity and look forward to seeing the future of Australian music unfold.
