EXCELSIA COLLEGE AND SYDNEY FILM SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP FILM FESTIVAL FOR AUSTRALIAN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Applicants are being sought for a newly launched scholarship film festival to help high school students fuel their creative dreams and connect them with a unique opportunity to make their mark in the film industry.

The Excelsia and Sydney Film School Award is a new and prestigious film festival run by Excelsia College and Sydney Film School to give emerging talent an opportunity to develop and share their voice. The festival seeks deep and meaningful short films of three minutes from senior high school students expressing thematic content around the nature of morality, existence, spirituality, philosophy, reality and truth.

Whilst this thematic content often leads itself primarily to dramas, all genres (comedy, action, documentary, thriller, etc) are accepted and encouraged.

The winner of the festival is offered a full scholarship to study the Bachelor of Screen Production with Excelsia College and Sydney Film School worth $60,000. *

This film scholarship is designed to increase diversity and inclusion in the industry, as well as inspire the next generation of creative professionals. Excelsia wants as many creative minds of the future to benefit from one of Australia's latest film degrees. Which is why they are offering this generous scholarship to help high school students reach their full potential.

Submissions for the scholarship film festival open on Sunday 18 October 2020 and close on Thursday 10 December 2020. To submit a film and view the full terms and conditions, please refer to the link below:
