Professor Ian Eddie has been appointed as the new Head of Business at Excelsia College. In this role, Professor Eddie will bring together and oversee the School of Business, with the aim of strategically supporting the College’s vision for future growth, and collaboratively promoting it as the business college of choice in Sydney.

Professor Eddie is an international expert in financial analytics, corporate accounting, and financial technology. His research is focused on the development and application of financial innovations via start-up business enterprises and innovations in financial market ecosystems. His contemporary research projects include: modelling the fintech ecosystem, evaluating the quality of fintech start-up enterprises, and the application of fintech and blockchain solutions to enhance business innovation and efficiency.
Prior to this appointment, Professor Eddie taught postgraduate programs in venture capital finance, financial management and corporate governance at RMIT International University, Vietnam and held executive positions as Professor of Accounting and Corporate Governance and Director of the Graduate College of Management at Southern Cross University, Professor of Accounting and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Government at the University of Canberra and Associate Professor and Head of the New England Business School at the University of New England.
