Excelsia College is delighted to announce that internationally recognised director Michael McLennan’s short film, A Tea Party for Sad People, was awarded the prestigious prize of Best Comedy at the Italian Assurdo Film Festival. Assurdo is an international cinema festival celebrating alternative and independent cinema.
Excelsia College is delighted to announce that Michael McLennan’s short film Standby was awarded the prestigious prize of Best Drama Film at the European Cinematography AWARDS (ECA) August 2020.
With intelligence, thoughtfulness and a strong sense of self, Monique Warokka’s distinct creativity and drive has helped her carve out her own identity in the music industry. Since graduating from Excelsia with a Bachelor of Music, Monique set up her own business ‘Roar Music’.
Thank you for your interest in Excelsia’s 2023 Open Day Competition. Please read the following competition rules carefully. Good luck!
1.1 Entry is open to Year 12 students residing within Australia who register and attend Excelsia College Creative and Performing Arts Open Day to be held Saturday 5 August 2023 and who answer all questions listed in the registration form.
1.2 Current and previous Excelsia College students, employees and their immediate families of Excelsia College, their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
2.1 The competition will commence at 12:00am //23 and end at 5:00 pm (AEDT) //23 for the Excelsia Creative and Performing Arts Open Day registration & attend prize.
2.2 The competition will be drawn and/or decided at the time, on the date/s and at the location/s as specified by the Marketing and Communications (Excelsia) department. The prize will be awarded to a valid entrant (as applicable) who is randomly drawn in accordance with the details specified by the Marketing and Communications department regarding how the prize/s will be awarded.
2.3 Each participant can enter the competition once only.
3.1 In order to qualify for the prize the winner must have registered and attended Excelsia Creative and Performing Arts Open Day. You also must agree to and abide by ‘Win a student pack worth $500*’ rules.
3.2 There will be one winner drawn from Creative and Performing Arts Open Day as specified by the Marketing and Communications department. The draw will consist of Year 12 students (residing within Australia) who have registered and attended the 2023 Excelsia Creative and Performing Arts Open Day Event.
3.3 Prizes cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
3.4 The winner of the competition will be notified by either email or mobile phone within 30 days of the winner being chosen.
3.5 The College may conduct a redraw if despite reasonable effort the winner is uncontactable and does not claim the prize within two (2) weeks after the original draw.
3.6 The winner may be mentioned on the Excelsia College website (www.excelsia.edu.au), and Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn channel.
3.7 In participating in the prize/s, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate if required in any and all editorial activities relating to the Competition. The winner will not be entitled to any cash payment.
4.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders Excelsia College to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, or act of terrorism, the College may, in its absolute discretion, cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same terms and conditions.
4.2 The College will take no responsibility for prize/s damaged or lost in transit, late, lost or misdirected mail.
5.1 We advise that the information you provide is collected by Excelsia College and may be used to contact you regarding future Excelsia events and opportunities. The College may use your personal information to contact you regarding your query or invite you to participate in surveys or market research activities. The College abides by the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), under which you have the right to access your personal information held by the College.
