Australia needs more teachers – and while many train as fresh graduates, it’s becoming increasingly common for people to get into teaching later in their lives. It’s never too late to retrain, and the experience gleaned from other careers can pay dividends in the classroom. In fact, there are many reasons why changing your career to teach could be the best decision you ever make.

75 per cent of newly qualified teachers are employed in a teaching role within six months of completing their training, according to the Australian Government. You can find positions advertised online or send your CV if you have a specific school in mind.
